The 10th Smog Summit will take place on June 3rd, 2009 at Toronto City Hall Council Chambers. Join us to hear about the clean air and climate change actions being undertaken across the GTA. The 2009 Smog Summit will be followed by a Best Practices Exchange on the theme of ReDevelopment – Actions and Plans aimed at enhancing quality of life via economic growth that is based on the renewal of our natural, built and socioeconomic assets.

Each year, the GTA Clean Air Council makes progress on research, capacity building and the implementation of clean air and climate change actions. The 10th annual Smog Summit invites you to:

  • Hear about the clean air and climate change actions being undertaken by GTA-CAC jurisdictions;
  • Hear a keynote presentation from Storm Cunningham, author of ReWealth – Stake Your Claim to the $2 Trillion Development Trend that’s Renewing the World and CEO of Resolution Fund, LLC in Washington, DC. Resolution Fund helps communities, counties, tribes, regions, and nations ignite rapid, resilient renewal of their economy, their natural resources, and their quality of life; and a keynote from Peter Victor, author of Managing Without Growth-Slower by Design, not Disaster; and
  • Receive an update on 2008 Inter-governmental Declaration on Clean Air action items and learn more about the 2009 Inter-governmental Declaration on Clean Air action items and targets.
